Lindsay's Last Chance?

First off, I a have been a LiLo fan from the days of her and Hilary Duff fighting over Aaron Carter (remembering that would definitely be a reason for her to start drinking). I mean, I chose her over Hilary straight off because she seemed like more fun and a little more real. I mean, no one should be so goody goody. It's got to be fake.

Through the years I've unfortunately had to watch LiLo's promising career just tank. I figure there has to be something wrong with her because celebs in their right mind make an about-face (even if it's all for show) when they get in trouble and try to make amends to save their careers. They have publicists who carefully craft responses, appearances, etc. She probably had someone like this, but has not followed any of their directions. So I hope the judge (who sounded more like a mother than LiLo's actual mother probably ever has)forces her to change her actions. I fear that if it doesn't than this could be her last chance because even though Hollywood loves a comeback, you have to be alive to return.

(I don't like the nickname LiLo, but it is short!)

Demi's Smooth Move

Ok, so I've never been a big Demi Lovato fan. It just seems like Disney has tried a little too hard to make her into the next Miley Cyrus (aka teen queen). When I heard she was dating Disney darling Joe Jonas, I was nonplussed. However, Joe allegedly broke up with her recently (over the phone no less...again. And she's even on tour with him. Grow some balls dude!). Now, news has surfaced that she is allegedly dating Wilmer Valderrama. This has just skyrocketed her from blah to pretty darn cool in my book. She is now standing out from the pack of teeny boppers.

Hmmmm, maybe it's all a Disney ploy to get her some street cred and publicity. Maybe they've realized the whole purity thing isn't that exciting and attention-grabbing. Ohh, I hope this one is true because if so, she just got herself a fan! Shows she isn't all goody goody. I know he's a man whore, but he's a charmer. It's impossible to hate on him even though he does some...less than charming things at times. I love living vicariously through the celebs! Go Demi!

Here We Go...

So, why does the world need another blog about Hollywood culture? Well, it probably doesn't need one. The world doesn't need Hollywood at all, but that's a world I wouldn't want to live in.

Aren't celebrities just so much fun? That's how I become mildly obsessed with celebrities and everything Hollywood. It was my final semester in college. I was channel surfing. And that's when I discovered it--E!. The program was The E! True Hollywood story of Beverly Hills, 90210 and I was hooked. I told myself that it was educational as well as fun. But now the facade is off. I'm addicted to the whole culture.

I have no credentials to claim that my opinions are any more valid than anyone else's. No Hollywood connections (that I know of). I've written a little book called Celebrities' Most Wanted: The Top 10 Book of Lavish Lifestyles, Tabloid Tidbits, and Superstar Oddities. But really, I'm just a junkie for this stuff. I visit TMZ.com and Eonline.com before CNN.com because, you know, if anything really important happens the entertainment websites will cover it too. And my nightly news consists of E! News and TMZ with much the same philosophy. It's so much more pleasant than the "real" news. Hollywood gives you something to envy, despise, crush on, and feel sorry for in one fell swoop. It's the soap opera that never ends.

I guess this blog is a continuation of my book that my publisher doesn't get to edit. But it also seems more "me" than my book that is factual (and of course is a must read for anyone interested in the celebrity scene ;) ). These are solely my feelings on the goings on in Hollywood. You know how there are always places to comment after articles posted on celebrity news websites? Well, these are my responses. Hopefully anyone who comes across this blog will not be offended by my opinions, but hey, they're mine and I'm fearless when the vast ocean of anonymity that is the Internet separates me from my adversaries. Feel free to respond, I love hearing other points of view and arguing. Just no politics or religion!

Ok, enough of this. From now on it's all Hollywood all the time...
